As a ballet dancer, I idolized and worshiped him in Dirty Dancing. I think the times I have seen that movie are tied with Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife Lisa when they would come shop at a dancewear botique I used to manage as my first entry level job out of college. Such lovely and unpretentious people. I will miss him so much.

i was hoping against hope that he would pull off a miracle and beat the cancer, but, tragically, it was not to be. :(
imo, Dirty Dancing and Ghost are the classic masterpieces that they are becuz of patrick (and also becuz of whoopi goldberg)!
i HATE that he's gone. :(
my heart goes out to his wife lisa, his mother patsy, his kid brother don, who idolized his older brother, and to his other family, his friends, and his millions of fans all over america.
patrick will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
